Default Bandit ARF building question?

Hey all,
After installing the tail pipe former and tail pipe, I'm not sure if the alignment is correct. The pipe is tight up against the top portion of the fuselage composite. Shouldn't there ba a gap? When I glued the former, I had to slide it along the inside of the fuselage until it touched the side walls, then I glued it there. The position ended up being under 4 inches from the end of the fuz. The manual says to glue it approx. 4" from the end.
I appreciate any help you can provide,
Steve Morris

There should be a gap mine came out the same way. the former needs to be moved foward slightly or just sand the bottom side of the former to lower the pipe if you don't it will develope a crack on the outside top attached is a picture,
