Default Air Line Restrictors

I would like to slow the retract of the landing gear on my Savex L-39 with Jet 1-A retracts.
They are Air Up/Spring Down.

My questions are:

1 - Will the Robart Air Line Restrictors slow the retract significantly?

2 - Should I install one restrictor in the air line that goes to the Jetronic valve or should I install a restrictor in line running to each retract?

Robarts will work fine , Also Jet Legend Air throttles would be a good choice...

Thanks for the quick reply DrDoom.

Sold I use a restrictor on each line or just the main?

Hope to be able to meet you at the Gateway Jet Rally this weekend.

Use a restrictor in each retract line. I usually place them a couple inches from the retract unit.

Depends how much you want to slow them. A restrictor on each of 3 retracts should allow air flow 3 times faster (i.e. retract operational) than a central restrictor on the main feed.

Another possibility you may wish to consider is the Ultra Precision Spring Air retract valve. It provides independant adjustment of the up and down speeds. Originally designed for Spring Air retracts, I'm using it with a set of Behotec air up/spring down retracts. Very nice slow motion in both directions. No need to cut your air lines to provide another place for them to leak. :-)

(I am not affiliated with Ultra Precision in any way.)
