YT International enters the jet arena
YT International has entered the jet arena with their first offering being the ARF Sea Vixen . YT is the manufacturer of the KMP line of ARF Warbirds which are available in just about every LHS across the country. Their Warbird line has vastly improved over the last couple of years due to their willingness to listen at what the modeler has to say.
A review is currently being done by Dave Stephens in the UK. Be interesting to see what comes of this.

Designed around the wren 54 size motors. DH Sea Vixen.
I though they were all going to be fully composite but this one looks like it is wood outer panels and booms.
Could be a very nice trainer first jet.
Good Luck

ORIGINAL: I-NAV
I like it. Something unusual for once. One more F-16 ARF and I'm going postal

Iam with you Mike.... Good on you YT for showing some creativity. I think you will have a few customers for your Sea Vixen damn pitty though you had to steal the design from the purple guru
How about an YT ARF Vampire now guys.....

Classic British design!
How big is it? Is it designed for a single engine, or twin, or optional with a bifurcated jet pipe? Is it an original design or based on Alec Cornish-Trestrail's model...which Foxy owned the moulds of before Adam Whassisname, then??? (I believe the moulds ended up somewhere in Africa - I sent the owner of them there a whole load of pictures of G-CVIX but never heard any more from him since).
Cheers,
Dick

RE: YT International enters the jet arena
Hi Dick,
It was me to whom you sent all the pics and details, thanks very much.
Unfortunately, I am currently studying Aero Engineering, and the hobby has taken the back seat - When I do have time, it's my heli, or an ARF jet etc.
The Vixen never got finished - I got as far as a finished prototype, composite wings, booms, tail, ailerons, etc. new canopy hatch, access hatch, scale retracts etc. I still wanted to mould the fuse/booms as one. I split my booms very similarly to the mod above, except mine splits on the scale location. Unfortunately, I don't see myself ever releasing the kit in the near future.
I've got 6 weeks of holiday now, and wish to finish my SM F-22.
If anyone has a realistic offer for all the Sea Vixen moulds, prototype, thrust tube, scale and sport retracts, wheels, brakes, all bits and pieces, they can PM me, I will consider selling and shipping them.
The photo attached is of the prototype.
Well done guys - your SV looks great!
Regards.
Richard

RE: YT International enters the jet arena
Lets put the record straight, YT are not the manufacturer they are the designer and distributor. The aircraft does not come from the ESM factory or KMP, subsequently it is not composite. The design is our own and has been designed for single turbine use. The prototype is being put together and test flown by Dave Stephens here in the UK. I am sure Dave will keep you up dated with it's progress, for more up todate information please have alook at www.rcmf.co.uk in both the turbine section and YT forum section.

RE: YT International enters the jet arena
Hi Dick,
if you look at the pictures you will see that the nose is much longer and the wing is much thicker than ACTs buitifull model.
there is no intention for this to be an out and out scale model. what we are trying to achieve is a sports model that is easy to fly and operate/maintain but does not look like an ugly stick!
i think the looks are within the brief, i just got to get the flying part within brief. if that requires re-disigned wings etc, then it will get re-designed wings.
this one is just for sorting so it wont be pretty by the time i have finished with it, but i hope to have learned enough about this model to make the needed chages (if req.)
im sure you will be one of the first to see it fly Dick (when is the next abbingdon? )
