For sure.................We should outlaw Ryder trucks as well!......As a matter of fact, just the other day I saw a video of what appeared to be an older Toyota Corrolla blowing up on a street in Bagdad. Obviously, we should stop the production of the Toyotas and immediately send Federal regulators TO EVERY USED CAR LOT IN AMERICA!

exactly. unfortunatly I hate seeing this type of "publicity" from the media.
but a few years back, the FBI, and other feds where here in town talking
to local hobby shops about this very thing. they have been looking at it for
some now, but, nothing has been done yet

That has to be the most asenine thing I've ever heard. It's as though ignorance was a virtue. Why won't any of these guys actually research their stories? How long do you suppose it would take a layman to figure out how much practice and experience it would take to be able to pilot an RC plane into a specific target--especially one far enough away from the "terrorist" to not hurt him, too? For all the time and trouble it would take, it certainly wouldn't be worth the damage he could inflict. Also, if someone fired up a 40% Ultimate in the middle of downtown Manhattan, I'd hope someone might notice.

Frankly, I think it's all part of a larger conspiracy to keep us all dumb and scared. Cheers to your federal tax dollars at work keeping us all safe from "The Terrorists"......

Hi US friends:

From overseas it is just amazing!. Your Goverment may well want to control RC model flying as model planes might be used as weapons........but there is just no interest about controlling real weapons like powerfull guns and automatic and semiautomatic rifles as used by many armies all over the world!.

I think best for us stop posting crash and burn video online.
This is really get out of hand if the FED decided to limit what we can play with our models.
The NEWS channel want something for their news. But their never though how can anyone fly this model to hit the target without proper GPS and special radio equipement to fly that far to hit the target. Also it take skill pilot to do so.
This more work for them than have a bomp on their body.

I beg tonight I had to explain to my wife and my son is not possible what the news report said. It take more than that to fly model airplane to hit the target. Even the UAV require special equipement to fly by video and computer guided. How on earth the model airplane can cary enough payload to do serious damage. First, where can their take off with big model airplane have enough explosive without been spotted.
NEWS reporter not always dig in truth fact. Just because their want some head news and anyone or thing are can be their victim. Damp that news report.
