Hello Anton,
SUCCESS - the A4 Skyhawk flew on the weekend, and it was fantastic - everyone who saw it was VERY impressed.
My test pilot said it was the best model he had flown, rock solid, took off itself, no trims required- we have lots of pictures on two cd's, as well as some pics of other smaller A4's with detail.
Please advise, so we can get the A4 into production - it is a great model.
Regards
Dave

RE: SM A-4
Hi Avicom,
Scale Jets Australia did the fitout and test flying of the Skymaster A4, at our local jet field at Nowra, about 2 hours drive south of Sydney.
The Scooter performed faltlessly, with our test pilot, Jason Starkey, saying out loud he had never experienced such a pleasant aircraft to fly - especially first flight.
We (Scale Jets Australia) are in discussion with Skymaster, to make this a truly great A4, when in production.
I am sure Skymaster will keep everyone updated.

RE: SM A-4
It must be bigger than 1/6 scale since the TamJets A-4 is 1/6.6!! The first pic in the first post shows a much bigger plane than Tams, more like 1/5 or maybe even 1/4 scale!!
89.5 inches long would make it 1/5.5 scale roughly, excellent!!!

some mistake about your size,
here is correct,
The A-4 is 1:5 1/2 scale.
Length: 87.6" (2225mm). Wingspan: 65' (1650mm).
Turbine: for P-120

Hey,
Like I said: Yeahhhh, Baby!!!!!
I've been wanting a bigger A-4 forever. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the Yellow A-4, but I've been wanting one for a larger turbine. It's nice to see some progress being made on this!

looks like that test pilot is missing his gall bladder to me.
see any old freaky fruitcake is allowed to fly in the land of criminal decendants.
bet he doesn't use a spotter either.

Anton,
Will there also be spring-loaded landing gear, or only the hydraulic? When it comes out, will there be an avionics hump available right away (A-4's look naked without them..)? Do you know what the plans are for gear doors?
Do you know if the tail control linkages will be external like on the Jet Legend/tamjets one, or will they be concealed like on the Yellow?
