Roll rate Skymaster F-18E
So far I had 4 flights on the SM F-18E and it flies fine except for the roll rate in a full axial roll. The roll rate is fine in turns and during all "normal" phases of flight but it is scarily slow when I attempt full rolls (even giving it full stick deflection at the recommended throw). It basically looks like a slow barrel roll and the aircraft bleeds a lot of speed in the process. Any feed back from experienced flyers on the aircraft will be appreciated.

While I have ZERO experience on this aircraft, in giant scale gassers, this is seen when you are getting "blow back" on the ailerons. You may need to adjust your aileron offset (less travel on the down side than the up side or vise versa....usually the first is correct)
Purely a guess.

I swapped out all flap and aileron hinges for the offset type like those sold by tamjets...consequently the full scale bird uses a similar set up....and my roll rate scares me ....i have to use dual rates

You need more deflection. I set my F up on my 10X like this. I used the factory recommended throw as the middle, 1/4 less for low and doubled it for high.
High was way too much for my liking, mid was also a bit much and low was just not quite enough.
Just add in a couple of more degrees, make sure you have 0 degrees of aileron differential and you should be OK.

Thanks for all your inputs.
Ravill, I had thought about the tailerons option in addition to the ailerons. How much tailerons deflection do you mix with your ailerons?
