Default SM F-18E By pass

Hi Guys,
I have just got around to making a start on my F-18 E. There were a number of things mossing from the kit when I got it like the aileron linkage shrouds, but more importantly there is no Bypass. I bought the kit withh all the extras so I expected this to be included. My question is, is the bypass necessary on this model?
Thanks in advance guys.
Regards,

John

Hi John,

I did not use the Bypass personally. I've seen people use it, some only used the bottom part (no cover).

If there are items missing, I'm sure Anton would be able to help. Send him an email.

Thanks - Adil

Well I bought the model from Al's Hobbies and Ali tried several times to get the missing parts. Also I saw Anton at Jet Power last year and mentioned this to him. He said the same, send me an email but I didn't even get a reply, so I guess he's not interested.
Obviously, I will rush to buy another SM model!
Thanks for the info. The tailpipe I have does not have a bell mouth as such. It has just a 1/4 " turned out at the front. Will this work on its own or do I need to find a bellmouth for it?

Hi John,

I'm sorry to hear that. I won't try to make any comments as I'm not sure of the issues or differences.

I will however try to get you the parts directly. Please do not use the pipe without the bell mouth if you are not using the bypass.

May I ask you to p.m me the list of items that you are missing and mailing address so I can get them to you from Anton?

Thanks and Best Regards,

Adil

I have never used a bypass and everything works great. I would get the bellmouth though.
You can try the UK dealer for help or you can send me an email to [email protected] and I can help you get it.

Also send me a list of the missing parts and I will see what we can do.
