Default BOOMERANG XL NOSE RETRACT

Due to the limited space in the retract well of the Xl ( nose wheel very close to the servo ), has anyone tryed to take the servo mount out, and mount it on the other side of the former, so it is in the nose cone area? This way you could have a slightly longer leg, and so have a better angle of attack for take off ( also its not such a tight fit when the wheel is retracted and also less dead weight need to be added up front )

Default RE: BOOMERANG XL NOSE RETRACT

I did just that because I wanted to put on a dual nose gear set up. Instead of in the nose cone, I placed the servo closer to the gear on the back bulkhead. Works great. Should work for extending the gear slightly.
