A quick thank you to Frank, Karen and the rest of the Capitol Jets crew for a putting on a fine event at a new and excellent venue (which I understand may see some improvements for next years event.) And a thank you to the South Albany Airport for their great support.
While the weather could have been a bit better Friday and Sunday, Saturday was almost perfect. Lots of sorties were made with all sorts of interesting jets. My Phoenix managed seven flights during the three days, four of them on Saturday. I particularly enjoyed chatting with the spectators during the noon line up, answering their many questions.
The site is a keeper, Frank. Ann and I are looking forward to next year.
Although I forgot to pack both of my cameras, Ann was kind enough to shoot some pics for me with her point and shoot. I'll be putting them up on my web site soon.
Finally, it looks like Glen is bringing up his young one the right way.

Hello Jim,
Thank you very much, but hey, you know what? The guys and gals behind the sceans are the real heros here. For with out those dedicated folks, we could not have produced such a fine venue for eveyone to enjoy.
The airport leaders and community officials were very impressed with the caliber of participants at Capitol Jets III. They are already making suggestions on how we may improve for next year at this site!
Thanks again to all the pilots that came to join us at our new play ground -South Albany Airport.
And most importantly helping me to promote the aeromodeling advances with our visiting spectator base. You guys are fantastic!
Take care for now Jim, see you at the next one.
Frank.

I second Jim's comments! What a well run event. Many thanks to Frank and Karen for pulling this event together and to all the volunteers that helped to make it an enjoyable weekend. Thanks also to the Airport managers for allowing us to use their "backyard" and to the gentlemen that rolled and mowed the pit areas. Maureen and I are looking forward to Capitol Jets IV.
See you all at Gardner Mass.!

Yes, Thanks Frank, Karen, and all, who made this a perfect event. Great venue, well organized, great people and great food.
The only thing that depressed me was the fact that I did not bring my EDF Mig 15. You guys were having just too much fun (watching was also fun too). There is going to me a few more Migs at Gardner ! ...... may have to retrofit my Mig with SS/2.4 .... to avoid frequency conflict. Bob

Can't say enough about Frank's tremendous energy, generosity, and accomplishment these three years in providing us a NE venue for jet flying. One site doesn't work out, he finds another....and So. Albany will be the best for years to come in their eagerness to have us back and just have a great time. For next year, even the background trees are coming down for a totally open/no restriction venue (and yeah...I was the only one to have tree issues...
). Will be the '08 mid-July place to be!
Frank and Karen also hosted another outstanding Sat nite diner party......they are simply tireless in their efforts to give us the best weekend possible. Flying, fun, and friends (and a few new ones...Tyler Robinson be flying dad's Bandit before we know it). Old saying certainly true: 'Doesn't get any better than this'!
Hat's off to the Alverez', and to all that participated and made it happen....thank you!

Just wanted to say, Dom and I will be back next year and we had a great time. It was nice seeing old friends and making new ones. Everybody had fun, either flying or just shooting the Sh%^%.
Thanks, and see you at Liberty Bell!
