On Deck - Liberty Bell Jet Rally
It's hard to believe but in 2 short weeks the 2007 Liberty Bell Jet Rally will be starting. Thanks to the support from many pilots and sponsors, we've got a great event lined up. For early arrivals, we are permitted to set up on Wednesday afternoon. Jet A and oil are not available at DSA. I will check for the closest store that sells K1.
This year there will be NO sideshows. The entire sanction event time will be for jet flying only.
The marketing manager at the Holiday Inn Express told me that there are quite a number of tourists on the waiting list chomping at the bit to get rooms that are in our block. The rooms will be released for non-jet rally reservation on Friday 20 July. I would suggest that you make your reservations as soon as possible to guarantee your stay at the HIE. Remember to tell them that you are with the Liberty Bell Jet Rally in order to get the special rate.

Good news from DSA....the runway lights will be removed during our event. Cindy and I made a trip to the airport yesterday and spoke with some neighbors. Everyone is excited to have the Liberty Bell Jet Rally in town.
Also, Andy Hresko, the BBQ guy, is going to be making extra chicken BBQ on Friday so there will be plenty of chicken dinners to go around. Remember, the free chicken BBQ is for pre-registered pilots and generously sponsored by Tom Castellano.
See you in a week and a half!

We're going to take advantage of the all day flying and have the pilot's meeting at 0845 so flying can start right at 0900. Nowhere near as many rules as we had at Deck Airport so the meeting will be short, covering safety issues.
Andy Hresko and John Sirriahanna are all set to feed everyone. We're still working on the gym memberships that everyone will need by Sunday!
