Just want to know how many jet jocks in the DFW area and surrounding cities would be interested in having a full blown jet event at Breakenridge airport, I'm talking about a flightline of at least 4000 feet, probably a crosswind runway if needed, food. ect......

Im game, especially if it happens in the fall when it's nice and comfortable

This will probably happen in the first part of next year. We need to find a CD and find insurance for the airport. Plus we want to advertise this and get the most exposure we can to have a large turnout. We are also considering inviting large "scale" or "Big Birds" to join in. Just wondering is there any CD's out there willing to help do this event. If so you can email myself at [email protected]. This is a real nice airport with hardly any traffic. Maybe we could get "Buck" to do a low flyby in his F18.....regards for now....Perry

any word on getting us in at copeland? a few guys have been talking about it, the only concern being freq. conflicts from the grass field down the road, it could be a spektrum flight session though

I think Copeland would be possible, one of the Pastors at my church knows some of the people there at Copeland. I know for a fact that it would have to have time set aside for my senior Pastor Steve Hill to possibly take 30 minutes or so to have an invocation for people to be saved at the event. I'm pretty sure that Pastor copeland would want to have something like that happen for us to use his runway, maybe even Pastor Copeland himself would be interested in showing up.........but don't worry, no one is going to be out there pushing pilots and the like to get saved. I also think it would be something we could puill off and to show the Christian community and others what R/C jet flying and R/C flying is all about. I know quite a few people who might be interested in helping out. Food, possibly a band, whatever would be needed could be offered up for a event such as this............what do you think????..........God Bless......Perry

Just because someone is a chrisitan and they want to orgainze a jet meet that MAY include a little Christian sermon doesn't give you people the right to start slamming him. It's a small price to pay for the use of the field. What's wrong with hearing a little about God? He helped me. If you don't want to attend-----fine. If you have a problem with hearing a pastor give a 30 minute sermon at an event where you can turn your head if you don't want to listen-----fine. Noone is going to MAKE you listen. If you have a problem with God then ---well that's your problem. But you don't have to resort to insults. Enough said here on this. Bottom line.... do you want another jet rally or not?
