that antenna you are using on your boomer-is it the evoltion?If it is how well does it work? Do you get good range with it? Thinking of putting it on my new boomer.

I think it's Revolution. It works well as far as I can tell. When I do a range check I get tired of walking before I get any glitches

I had a cool coincidence today. I was out flying around over Cape Cod and Massachusetts just south of Boston. I stopped to pick a friend up at the Plymouth airport, and lo and behold, Mitch Buckley was the A&P at Alpha One Aviation! Very cool! I have watched Mitch grow up flying models at the various events in the northeast, and he has become one heck of a good pilot. It really hit home that he is now an adult with a very responsible job. Boy am I getting old!
If you read this, great to see you Mitch! Lookin' forward to having you up next weekend.

I will be driving up Thursday and should be in town by 3pm. Are we able to get on site to set up a canopy on Thursday or do we have to wait till Friday? If it is Friday, how early can we get on site?

Ease up guys. I had to clear any early setup with the airport manager. Remember that this is a busy airport and in order to play here we need to follow the airport manager's and FAA's rules.
That said, I got permission for us to set up on Thursday between 5 pm and 7 pm if you are an early arrival. We will all need to be leaving the airport property at 7 or shortly thereafter.
Friday is a full flying day, but it will start at 12 and go until 7. There is plenty of light to allow this.
