I have a MB 339 with a T-750 new, just completed and it's going up for sale as a turn key ready to go jet, if you're interested. It was not an easy build, lot's of mod's and it took lot's of TLC to get it right. This is the 339 from Modellbau-USA, done right, it's a very nice jet. Mine is done right. The T-750 gives it plenty of power and grass is no problem. Like I said, the build was a bit of a challange and took time. I was going to paint it, but decided to sell it without paint so the buyer can add his own design. Anyway, the 339 from Modellbau is no walk in the park to build, but once done, it's a very nice jet. If you're going to build, set aside lot's of time and exspect adding mod's from the less than complete instructions. If you want or need more data or are interested in my 339, e-mail me at: [email protected]

The Sm 339 is a very nice jet......quality is good.....the landing gear is awesome....I am not at all a fan of the chinese machining quality we normally see.....this gear is the exception.....Anton got it right.....good quality metal as well, which is key to the success......I've seen several different sets take less that perfect landings on various SM designs with no problems.....the plane flies very nice....very smooth and it presents well in the air........FWIW....

It is very realistic in air...and one of the easiest jets to fly and land ever! ... landing gear is excellent as said above. It flies very well with a 36 pounds thrust engine.

On the negative side, three minor things:

-The plane is heavy, and you may need someone to help you to assemble the plane, put it on the table, etc. unless you want to develop a hernia.

-There is a dozen of air valves while assembling the wings (landing gear, brakes and wheel doors) wich often develop a air leak.. also as the landing gear is not in the fuse, you need some device to hold it above ground during field assembly.

-There is no practical room for batteries in the extreme aft of the plane, so for achieving the proper center of gravity some lead (about 1 pound) is needed.. not ideal but at the same time not significant for a 40 pounds+ airplane.

I have one with a Ram 1000 for power. The powerplant produces roughly 28lbs of thrust and is enough to power this 50lb plane. The 339 has great handling characteristics, good presence in the air, and is a joy to fly. IMO, should you decide to purchase one, you will enjoy it. Also, for even better performance, some flyers are using the Jet Central Rhino. (My MB 339 is from Fei Bao)

Hi!

I have a C&C MB-339. 2 meters span, 2 meters length. The old kit version. It is the best jet I've had so far. Easy to build, easy to fly. Flies very well!

=> So the SM version will fly even better because it's bigger.
