I have just about completed my GP F4 Phantom and while setting up the radio I have found a possible problem. The manual calls for 11/4 " of up and down throw on the ailerons and I cannnot get that much movement. Perhaps 7/8 to 1" is all there is.
Anyone able to comment on how critical this could be. Removing the ailerons, and re bevelling the leading edges is very bad news as its covered with silk and dope and painted.Ready to go. The leading edges are as per the plan but perhaps the hinges are to tight. (never thought I'd say that)
Any comments would be appreciated.

I have been flying two different versions of this prop jet for 4 years and neither one have 11/4 of throw. both are about 7/8. I use flaperons on both, but the one with out retractshas almost noaileron athority with the flaps deployed. The other turns fine flaps up or down. Go figure.
