China model products, interesting picture with a well known airplane ;)
So I'm flipping through some pictures of China Model Products factory, I know they make quite a few different "brands" of airplanes, CMPro, Nitro Models, KMP etc, but I thought this picture of their showroom was interesting, that looks like a Boomerang off to the right side of the picture
And before anyone gets negative on me, no I'm not being negative or anything else, I'm actually very impressed with CMP's stuff, I have a few of their planes and the build, strength, and flight characteristics of them are awesome, so is the price! I just always like finding where models are actually built these days

Hence why all the servo holder/hatch covers have "China Model Products" stamped all over them.

I am sure they will find time to rip everything and anything off if people are prepared to buy it.

Seems like everyone is going to China to have kits produced and then selling them
here in the U.S. for up to ten times or more what it cost them to produce the kit , it no
wonder all the kits get copied sooner are later.
I know thats what some call free enterprize but everyone wants to get a piece of
the pie also hence all the knock off kits.

Tried to buy one for myself but Somebody just placed an order for 300 pcs of the Formost-150. Out of stock now in China. Good price too at well under $200USD. (plus shipping). Any guesses as to who the big buyer is?

I agree this is NOT the same factory, so the Boomer is made by CM-Pro and the Foremost is made by the Fly-Model factory.
www.fly-model.com
All there is to say is that Chinese manufacturers will be Chinese manufacturers, reverse engineering (and OEM) is what they do best.
BUT, if the original manfacturer would have priced his kits close enough to the "knock off" price, nobody would buy a knock off !
Indeed, the original had to design the plane (which is at a certain cost) but at times, the original is priced at over 20 times more than the knock off (Bobcat Vs. Falcon 120) - so while the original is definitely better, its not worth 20 times more ! [:-]
Dont forget, BVM makes their planes in Thailand, not in the US, so Boomerang jets make them in China, its no suprise.
