Default Has Anybody Fitted a Cockpit to a Sky Master Hawk??

Just picked up a Skymaster Hawk Plus with the scale cockpit.

Before I cut bits off that I am not supposed to, has anybody any advice or pictures as to how to make it fit?? It seems a very awkward job to get it to look right. I cant even get the scale piece anywere close to fitting, or even in the cockpit.

Thanks

Peter, I am thinking about getting one of these for my FeiBao Hawk but I dont know the measurements of the outside lip. Would you be able to measure and post those measurements?

My experience with fitting cockpits is to trim them to just a little larger than the lip of the canopy. Then you can slide them in. However with the Hawk I know you need leave the front console sticking out in front of the conopy and that section fits uner the glass that is affixed to the fuse. I would set the cockpit onto the opening in the fuse first and go from there.

Here are some pics on what was done to a customers Hawk.

Hope it gives you a good idea. The cockpit basically slides in with the canopy attached.

Michael, are those the pilots that come with the cockpit kit or are they aftermarket?

They look like BBI ultimate soldier Aviator 1/6 figures below are the pilot figures from skymaster.

Michel have you installed a cockpit in your Rafale ? i have not had the time to do my cockpit install so it sits on a shelf for now.

The pilots where provided by the customer not sure where they came from but they are very similar to the G. Bush pilot.

Alan, haven't got the cockpit for the rafale. Mine is flying so nice that I don't want to change anything.
