RE: Info needed on old Y/A F16
let me clear myself up a bit,
I have a older yellow aircraft F16 that I built back in 94 (built it without plug in wings/built as fixed wing))
I need to know the best way to convert it (without destorying it lol )

buy a cheap van.
Really, I don't think it's worth the hassell. You will likely damage the wings removing them. Also the plug in wing versions had different bulkheads inside to work with the wing joiners. I'm not saying it would be impossible, just not practical.
You could use a very thin blade and cut the wings off, then repair the root of the wings. That would be fairly easy. But re-engineering after the fact, a spar system for plug in would be a pain. I had one of these planes years ago and loved flying it. It's only about 45 in span and will fit in a mini van no problem.

Hi,
I hate to say it, but I agree completely with these gentlemen. It wouldn't be impossible, but highly impractical in the sense that you'd have to do so much and probably buy a new wing set in order to accomplish it. In addition to new wings (to do it in a way that you would feel some peace of mind flying it), you'd be trying to install the new wing spar harware into a very tight spot. Either way, best of luck!
