Default RAM Turbine Support

I was thinking of pruchasing a used RAM turbine from a friend and I was wondering who might provide support for the unit since RAM is long gone. I have heard that a company ? called RTI does support the eingines. If so does anyone have their contact info?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Ed

You can also get support from Modellbau USA. Check there website for contact information. I got my Ram 750P upgrade 2 years ago to full autostart.

I purchased my first Ram in 1997 and two more in 1999. All three engines are still powering my planes mainly because of the excellent service provide by Carlos at RTI.

Hi Ed, I have nothing but good things to say about Carlos and his work. My RAM 500 came back from him in better condition than when it was new. Regards, George

Run!!!! do not under any circumstances buy a used Ram unless you are the tinkering type who likes to constantly work on things. These "used" units have been floating around RCU for years waiting for the next sucker to waste their hard earned money on.

I wasted my money ($1,800.00 exactly) almost a year ago on one that was a "fresh rebuild" from Carlos. It turned out that the thing would never run consistantly which is EXACTLY what you don't need to happen with an expensive jet. Carlos has made a career of fixing these troublesome turbines. Don't let yourself be the next victim of this insidious merry-go-round of everyone selling the same RAMS time after time after they find out that the thing is a POS.

You may ask well if that is the case what did you do with yours? I gave it to my brother who builds BOATS. Maybe the thing will sink and we will never hear from it again. Maybe I'm stupid but, I would'nt sell it again on RCU for someone else to deal with.
