Default Disk and drum brakes NOT set up the same??

Are they NOT plumbed the same? I have a set of disks brakes (new from Skymaster) and they dont work like my drum brakes with o-rings. I have the same valve (basic 3 valve) in both planes and they are plumed the same. But on my jet with the disk brakes when I move my slider to apply the brakes it just lets all the air out. Its weird too because the whole hob moves out. My drum brakes work great! Any ideas? I will post a few pics when I get home...

They work the same. When air is applied to the brakes they should stop. Try taking the skymaster brakes apart to make sure they are installed properly.

I took the brakes apart and they seem fine. When I apply the brake all air escapes. I have the disk brakes plumed EXACTLY the way my drum o-ring brakes are and the same valve. My drum o-ring ones work fine. Am I missing something?? Here are a few photos.....
Thanks, Mario

I have the same. The axle must be secured in the strut and no end play in the wheel. When you apply the brake the disc moves out against the wheel and if the wheel has more than say a 16th of an inch of end play the bladder just lets the air out.

The first question you need to answer is; where is the air escaping from? Make sure the brake valve is not defective.

Most likely it is leaking at the bladder. Make sure there is no wheel end play as jkeze said. If they still leak there remove the bladder from the hub. Apply thick grease evenly around the i.d. and o.d. of the bladder, especially near the lip. Reinstall them, making sure there is no end play. Mine didn't leak at first but developed a leak after a while. The grease fixed it. I used the grease that came with my wheels. It was in a small plastic tub.
