I did the same thing on my Falcon 1.20, but did not take out as much material. I have since painted and blended and you can't even tell its not stock. I had retracts in my Falcon 25 and man did it clean her up and make a difference. She was clocked at 139mph.

The first pic is the 1.20 with a Ram 750. The other 3 are of my Falcon 25. The 25 did 139mph.

Here's the selfadhesive alu foil. Great stuff and cheap. I've used it on the stab of my Formost150 too.

I found that the Sullivan BT-16 would be a perfect fuel tank. (These are the tanks which were used in the SpiderJets F-16.)
Size & shape fit very well, I can install a Digitech UAT next to it (of another 125 ml).
You only need to take out one bulkhead but that was very easy as it popped out almost instantly with some force.

The BT-16 has 16 Oz capacity, which is about 480 ml. With my TwinJet, I have only 380 ml on board and can make flights of some 6 minutes.
So, 480 ml (or 605 ml with the UAT) would be excellent, and the extra fuel would be good for the extra taxiing before take-off.

That gear looks great! I have another 25 in the box. I will have to get those for that one. I don;t have any foil on my 120 but have some HVAC ducting to put behind the exhaust for start up in case I have a hot start. Falcons and Bobcats have so much downthrust even with the engine lowered, it doesn't usually burn th stab in flight....or so I hear haha. The 25 is smaller though, you are probabaly smart to put it on there!

Oh I would love to, but way to expensive for me. I picked up my Ram for 1100 bucks and that's all I am goign to be able to spend on turbines. Can't wait to see yours!

Yes, I have seen that video before I ordered my Falcon25. Was one of the videos which convinced me to buy this plane.

What servos did you install ? I have now installed only Hitec HS-65HB's on ailerons as I had them as spares for my T-Rex 450 SE heli, and they were totally reliable on the cyclic controls there.

Tumbler,

Other question : your canopy, is that a standard one ? Mine is different and looks sooooooo ugly (seems to be typical these days with the Chinese kits ?!?)

Nicolas,

I have HS-65's on the Ailerons and Rudders and HS 81MG on the elevator. I also had an HS 81MG of steering as well.

I am putting flaps on the next one because it was a real pain in the butt to slow down for landing. Putting the noseleg gear door on did help a little. Flaps should really help slow her down like the 1.20 size.

I re-covered the entire plane and found Ultracote dark yellow to be a PERFECT match if you need it.

Nicolas,

The canopies on both of my 25's and my 1.20 arrived totally smashed. So, carved a new one out of foam and glassed it. I have been waiting for a 1.20 replacement for 2 months!

No problem! Another thing you can try is having the rudders of seperate channels if you can and have them both deflect inward on landing. I am told that is also effective for an airbrake and easier to do than flaps.

Well, too bad I don't even have IT anymore haha. The retract servo was binding and drained the rx battery and caused the plane to lock up an full throttle! She went in and left nothing in tact but a couple rudders. I loved it so much I ordered another but have been oworking on other things. I am sure yours will be done before I get to working on mine though.

I got it on RCU. Keep your eyes open. I got my first turbine off there for $2200 RTF. It was a Kangaroo with an airstart Ram. The motor went after a while so had to pick up a new one that is auto start.

How would a 50 size bobcat and a 14lb thrust turbine work. Any idea? I'm thinking of the funsonic fs-52
along that line of turbine.
