Yup,
Maidened my BARF with tailerons and a titan! What to say...hmm
SPECTACULAR!!
Frankly, I couldn't tell the difference between having tailerons vs not. I couldn't even tell that much of a difference with the drop tank.
But I could tell the difference between the Titan and the 120. Wow. Can I say accelerate vertically? Yes, I can!!

Hey man I think we have the same problem with the front end of the canopy seating flush with the nose. I placed a blind nut on the fuselage and torque down a hex screw to force the fornt end fo the canopy to seat on the nose. Hate doing that but I'm tired of fussing with it. This design sucks. Like the old Bandit style mo beta.
Nice pics.

Oh, I think I see that the front of the whole upper portion seems to pull off of the nose. It is most appartent on the pic with the high vis/smoke.
I don't see how this could be. On the ground that front end is tough to pull up...[
] I better pull harder!

Yes its the orange/white one. I think if theres even a small gap in between, air will flow below it and cause it to lift. Transparent tape will work fine too, to block the air flow.

I found out why the front of the top part pulls away from the fuse. The glue that holds the fiberglass to the plywood formers sucks. It is not hysol and it just pulls away with any type of pulling.
Just placing the top cover on the ground with a little sideways force and the fiberglass pulls away from the plywood former, requiring more glue.
This is a crappy design. I can see why David used srews all the way around. It is really annoying. I might have to hysol all around. I'll post some pics when I get home.

Joe,
The bandit with the top part that is pulling off has the P120 in it. And ANY BARF will do this even with a artes bee, wren 44 silver or whatever small turbine you put in it. The glue that holds that top part just pulls off just with handling.
I cannot fly like Doug, McBrizzle, Presta and the crew. I keep the throttle undercontrol. I love verticals!! My BARF's aren't going any faster, and I don't pull the G's that the BVM guys did at Florida Jets with their BARF's.
I know you've been to jet meets that I've been at, and I always fly safe. [8D]
Somehow, I feel like Wojtek must have!!
Oh and lay off my drop tank!!

Here are the long awaited pix.
I was just going to show the fix, but after just picking up the top canopy (to take a picture of it), the fiberglass separated from the wood liner.
So, the good news is that I got a pic of an actual separation and the bad news is now I've got to fix it!
As we all know however, BARF's are wonderful fliers. Uncle Bob, I love my BARF'S!![sm=thumbup.gif]
