Nicolas, sorry to see you didn't have a fire extinguisher handy....that sucks!!!

I bought my first Baby Boomerang in that very condition from a guy that did that same thing, I just rebuilt the back half of the fuz.

Since my SimJet spitted long wet flames this weekend while having no fire extinguisher immediately on hand to kill the kerosene having dripped in my fuselage, I have now the very special 'black convertible' version !

High time to apply some high tech Frankenstein transplantation of the other kits' butt plus installing a kerostart JetCat P160 for a serious test.

Nicolas.

if you fly that full throttle i give you a kit for free

I think Nicolas would have to stand on the spar (with two beers in hand) before performing the P 160 test.

Sandor, you definitely have high expectations and besides, what should I do with ONE MORE kit ?? (I guess you face the same problem, right ? ) LOL

Will receive mine today, see what version that is...gonna use a P80, crow braking is my favorite on many gliders I own, even on a flying wing it works perfect.

OK Aquaman, after I visited Mr. Fireball in Cyprus next week, I'll bring you his well-done barbecued G-Booster 160 for you to repair, and then give me a couple of weeks to rebuild the Almost Frankenstein with my JetCat P-160.
I won't stand on the plane first Rich, you haved no idea how much these guys can eat (dragging me along in their food orgies) , so bear with me and my Almost.

This thread has been too quiet lately.
Question?
I am building a Formost 150 and plan on using one of my JJ1400s on it. It runs great so please no JetJoe Bashing. Do you guys that have flown it think a 14Lb thrust engine will be enouph? I have modded the wings with extended carbon fiber wing tubes front and back, doubled ribs and doubled spar webs. Don't plan on fiberglassing the wings to save weight. will also mod main gear mounts and booms for added strength.
Thanks for the info,
Matty

MattyC-130 & bahamadude,
I was also thinking the same thing, this form has been quiet.

Mine is still on the bench, I am shooting for Memorial day weekend to fly her, I was side tracked by flying my JL-T45, now that flys sweeeeeeeeeet!

I am going to use a Ram 500 in mine so I think the turbine you wanted to use should be no problem in the thrust department

14lbs is more than enough. I use a dialed down P-80 and do most of the flying at 1/2 throttle or less (mostly because I still worry about the wings after seeing the flex inflight).

At 18-19lbs of thrust I can do an Immelman on takeoff.
