Default Tam A-4 Control Throws

I'm about to glue in the hinges and set up the linkage and control throws for my A-4.

I have all the basic control throw movement possible as per the instructions. Is everyone using the "listed" control throws as maximum values before setting up dual rates or expo? I don't want to set up my controls without the ability to flex up in movement if it's commonly used by guys, but at the same time I believe in tight, gapless hinge lines and don't want more gap than I need, if I'm not gonna use the throw.

Thanks

Eddie,
Goes with the manual and fine tune to the way you like it.
Ailerons on this plane is hot. So you want more expose for less sensitive.

Like Tam said the ailerons are very sensitive. Give yourself a dual rate setting for the ailerons of about half of the recommended and use plenty of expo. I believe that mine is at 45% expo on ailerons. Also, the flaps are very effective on the A-4, I would recommend using less than full flaps for landing until you get use to them. The plane basically comes to a stop in the air with full flaps if you do not apply alot of power when you lower them...Gary

I am using the crow setup for landings with a little "up" mixed in because the A-4 will nose down when flaps are deployed. Get all you can on elev travel but as Gary said be careful with the ailerons, they can bite you.
