I went to a rc jet airshow in 4th or 5th grade so 3 or 4 years ago. Man when i saw those planes fly i almost past out. A guy set a field record at 256 mph. But i have heard they can reach 300mph!!! So what is the fastest recorded speed?

Scott, where have you been hiding? Coming out anytime soon?

George

P.S. To stay on topic , I don't know what the record is, but AMA says no "speed contest" .

I saw an Aggressor III piloted by Garland Hamilton get clocked at 265 mph in a level pass. He had come out of a dive but had been flying level for 300-400 yards by the time he flew through the traps. I've read of a Ultra Viper D/F that got clocked at 269 MPH.

I'm sure there are turbine powered planes that travel in excess of 300 mph.

There are guy's out there with composite Bandits with Jetcat 160's in them, that's EASILY a 350 MPH plane.

Default 350 miles per hour

Just make sure that you have another pilot with the same frequency radio a few miles away that you can hand the plane off to! :stupid: Yeah, 'n' let's drink a lot of beer before we try to do it. :stupid: :stupid: :stupid:
