Default Servo questions

What type servos should I use for a plane that will do between 100-125 mph? what torque range should I look for at 6v? finally do I need a 10x radio for jets, or can I use my 9ch pcm?

Default good question!

i have been asking same type of questions and so far i have this:

first you need to calculate the torque req. for each surface(s) that will be activated by each servo. a good calculator is at:

http://www.csd.net/~cgadd/eflight/ca...vo.htm#formula

depending on the stress on the sevo, metal gears, double BB can provide risk-free operation.

however, i have found that most people go for overkill with the servo strenth. sloppy gears (free play) is the more immediate concern for fast planes (jets).

go with good quality and you'll be fine.
