hi

does anyone know of a really huge ducted fan delivering around 15 kgs of thrust for a project I am contemplating. It needs to be big.

In a word, turbine....

The best ducted fan I've heard of was the BVM package, and I believe it would get about 13 pounds of thrust.

Good luck in your quest. Of course, you can always use 2-4 engines in the plane, depending on the layout...

Heads up to the first guy that can stick a fan on a Quadra!

I saw an article about a guy building a Harrier a few years ago that was looking at I think a 9" or 11" fan.

Very cool...

Bob Parks was working on a project a while ago, in which he was putting a ducted fan on a Herbranson (That's 280cc BTW).
