Another outstanding job Tam, the crew have come through again.
I will be in the U.S next week and will try to get to Florida jets to catch up.
Russ did a nice job of showing off that paint scheme
See you soon

My grandson is a AT3 with VA2( Bounty Hunters). I have some pictures somewhere of the real aircaft launching off thr USS Abe Lincoln. My granson will be making his third cruise with this outfit. Great looking model. I was an AM3 with the Blue Angels 1952-1954 and with VF111 in 1954-55. Been a Modeler since 1939 BOB Moore

Very cool Bob. I have a lot of admiration for you. I am sure that you would find San Diego, and the Miramar area in general, quite different then when you spent time here.
Hope to meet you someday.

, Thanks Ravill , Back in my days in the Navy The airgroups planes were given number to put on thier A/C Starting with 100 and it looks like the plane you mention number has starts with 400 < so I think that plane is with a different Squadron. . I was painter with the Blues and VF111.The Sundowners planes started with 100 and went up to If I rember right went to 112.. It has been 53 years since I was a sailor. The Lincoln is going into Harms way if you know what I mean . I like the picture of your model . BOB MOORE AMA 6559

RE: Bounty Hunter Super Hornet is ready for Florida Jets
Hi Tamjets,
Very very very nice painting/weathering and maiden flight!!!
I've flown the F-15 before and I must say that i'm only an amateur in terms of jet-flying hours LOL!
I'm about to start painting and building my Super Hornet too.
I will be using the TJT3000 turbine for my bug, may i know which turbine you are using for your Super Bug? Need your advice on my turbine if it's sufficient to fly this jet or not, I'm looking for scale-flying characteristics that's all.
I have narrowed down my paint scheme to either this Bounty Hunter scheme or the Black Aces scheme. Was searching on the net to look for examples to work on and have found this beautiful jet paint scheme.
Thanks in advance Tamjets! Cheers!

You, dear sir,
Have a SkyMaster F-18F Super Hornet. And since Ian Oberhouser is THE residing SM rep, I'm sure he will be able to answer your questions.
Please don't ask for help from Tam at Tamjets.
Just teasing! Welcome to the hornet club!! I love, love, love hornets. I've had, almost, all of them!
Tam is a great resource and he has helped me with tons-o-stuff, even for hornets that I didn't buy from him! I even worked on my Jet Legend hornet in his shop! [X(] He poked fun at me and I think Dave Presta got in a jab or six but, hey we're here to have fun right?!
My Superhornet had a titan, 34 pounds and it flew great. Ehab had a superhornet with a P120 and it flew fine as well.
Grey has a nasty tendancy to dissappear in the sky. When it happens to you remember me, Raffy, who painted his grey chippy ho with lots of yellow so it could be seen.
Singapore is a great place I need to go back, I had the best indian food of my life there.

Raf,
Dave Presta had his ass shot with that riffle.
Ask him if it hurt. Next time is your turn when you show up.
Russ put on auto and shot me. I got to get him on that one.

Absolutely man, should I stamp it with a pre-determined E.O.L. mark?
How long would you like this one to last? Or better yet I may be able to increase the number of lives from 3 to say 5 for a little extra compensation??
No, luv you mean it!!![:-]

The F18 is a cool bird for sure.
I have the TAM F18F done in the Bounty hunter colors as well and will post some pic's soon.
I was able to talk to the PAO of the squardron and he was great help. He put me in touch with the guy that works in the paint shop and gave me the colors off the can that they paint the actual bird with. They even felt bad when it took some time to get me the info because they were going out to the ship and back.
Great bunch of guys.

Yeah i figured i might get my ass shot when i asked Tamjet the question on turbine power. I'm glad you all are a nice bunch of oaks just enjoying this hobby, nice vibes i'm getting so all is well! Phew! I'm still an amateur in jet flying but i enjoy painting and airbrushing/weathering jets and planes as well.
I'm about 99.9999 percent decided on the VFA-41 Black Aces, aircraft no. 166455 paint scheme based on USS Nimitz aircraft carrier CVN-68.[)]
If there's anyone out there on the Nimitz carrier who works close to this aircraft please would you send some close-up photos to my email [email protected]. I am starting to make fonts and letters for this project. I'm a draftsman by profession.
Thanks so much for your advises Ravill. I will start another thread on my jet in future. When you're coming to Singapore for holiday or whatever just drop me an email ya?!
I apologise for intruding to this thread Tam.
