Once again, help please (scale pilots)

Thread Starter

I am still looking for a good quality jet pilot to fit into 1/7 to 1/8th scale jets.
Full body is needed and preferably with cloth clothes rather than painted.
1/6th scale is well catered for but below that and most are not up to standard.
Help pleaseā¦[sm=cry_smile.gif]

Good luck Paul. I was looking for a 1/7.5 scale pilot, or atleast close, and couldn't find anything. We need to have a decent line of pilots. I would be horrible at carving a human shape - it would end up looking like Gumby, or something... [:@]

Century Jet Models makes pilot busts and full body pilot figures. Their website provides a list but few photos are published. http://www.centuryjet.com/webstore/c...fm?Category=52 Tower Hobbies offers some of the figures, including a 1/7 scale pilot (unpainted) and has a photo of the product http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&P=SM&I=LXKLD8

you can always use 1/6 pilots and modify them to fit into your Jet, or modify only the clothing and use any plastic 1/8 pilot figure

Hi Friends:
I have in my F/A-18B two pilots from Aviation Design to 1:8 scale (american look).
http://www.adjets.com/
I put the photos when arrive in my home, when I paint and them, when I cut the heads and add more details in the mask. (I need paint again).
Regards from Spain.
Carlos.

I'm aware that these aren't jet pilots, but if anyone happens across this thread needing a 1/8 to 1/9 pilot, specifically for bombers, these will work! They are full body, casts in parts so everything, hands, arms, legs, head may be glued in any position. Can be positioned sitting, kneeling and even standing.
For more details, pricing and some nice shots of other scale models go to...

I have sent several e-mails to BBI Elite Force Aviator company for smaller pilot(1/8 to 1/10) but no any response.Perhaps our Jet model scale fans should send more e-mails to them.

I have just been to Toys R us in the UK and picked up a pilot it was £17.99.
He is a bit heavy at 230g so I will just use his head and hands and make a foam body to fit the flying suite.
Photos of pilot in Jim Fox 1/7 Hawk.

What would I do.. Well, I would buy 1/6 pilot, for example blue box toys pilot. Then make a skeleton using metal wires and depron for light weight 1/7.5 or 1/8 pilot and then suit it with 1/6 pilots clothes. Rip the head off from the 1/6 pilot and put it to 1/8 pilots skeleton, no one can tell the difference. That way you can have scale pilot with real clothing and suitable to your jet.
People have used 1/6 pilot on 1/9 planes for ages and most of the times those doesn't look too big
