Help! It's never been off the motor and there are *lot's*
of runs on it. Motor is finally tired and now I can't get it off! I got the bolt loosened but the fan is just stuck. What's the trick here?
Thanks!

Hi Bobman, BV used to sell a removal tool. It's probably not listed anymore in his catalogue. Basically, it was a long bolt. You removed the rotor bolt and replaced it with the long bolt. Remove the engine mount bolts, hold everything over a soft towel on your bench, and then give the head of the bolt a couple of raps with a small hammer and that should get it off the spool. Be careful though, that engine is loose and it could hit the floor if you're not over that towel. Hope this helps, they could be difficult at times. Bill Harris
