Bandit VS. Flash-> Video Included!
Not to try to start WW III but, I was dying to compare them back to back. I flew my BARF with 3 touch and goes with a landing and then, immediately, my Flash, the same way.
Here is the vid. Tell me what you think.
I thought there were considerable differences, but honestly they were both quite fun!
For those of you considering either one, here's another piece to fit in the puzzle....
Both have JetCat Titans and a JR radio. Enjoy!![sm=thumbup.gif]

RE: Bandit VS. Flash-> Video Included!
Raffi boy, to be fair you must tell everyone how many flights you have on your BARF and how many on the Flash. As of the Saturday before last you still have not flown your Flash, and you have been flying your Barf for a long time now. In my opinion, I would expect you to fly the BARF better because you know that thing like the back of your hand by now, while I'm guessing that the video day was your test flight on the Flash.....or very close to it.

RE: Bandit VS. Flash-> Video Included!
For what its worth, I flew both planes for the first time on the same day one after another. I thought they both flew very well, and could not find anything bad to say about either of them. I have built a BVM Bobcat and enjoyed the complete kit concept, also have built a Flash and thought it was very simple and straightforward.
I guess it comes down to personal preference and if you feel you NEED to own one manufacturers plane over the other. The price was the major consideration for me when buying a Flash, and seeing that there are dozens of them still flying in our area, overpowered with Titans.........and using ALL the pepper, I would be pretty confident to say that they are built to last. Also there are a couple of Bandit Arf's around that people are getting plenty of enjoyment out of as well.
Both planes are equipped with lots of ways to slow down and land very easy, both planes are capable of going very fast, and they both fly aerobatics real well. The one thing that I noticed is the wing design on the Flash I thought allowed for more positive aerobatics at slow speeds. Watching Joe McBride do slow speed aerobatics with his Flash is a real treat, slower then I think a Bandit can stick the maneuver at the same speeds. Just my observation.
Darcy Wingo is a great Comp-Arf rep out here, has a great personality and a true fun guy to hang out with. That is another thing to look at when it comes to comparing planes, maybe one of the top 2 reasons to settle on a product in my book. To each his own, buy what feels right and go have a good time.

RE: Bandit VS. Flash-> Video Included!
I agree with the amount of time flown on each aircraft that plus the same pilot inputing the same
piloting skills , I have never flown either one of these airframes but if the amount of stick time is
equal on both aircraft from the same pilot it may look to as if the flash is a bit more unstable at
slower airspeeds. this is just my thoughts only and still wouldnt stop me from purchasing the flash,
or the bandit for that matter they are both awesome looking aircraft.

Yeah, Yeah everyone poke at Raffi!!
Scott, yeah I could only afford half the dues at my club so I can only land on half the runway...I chose to make it the half that is as wide as buttonwillow! [&:]
Granted, I do have a whole lotta flights on my BARF's by now, but I was just showing the vid so folks could see an average, nonsponsered guy fly two, similarly put together sport planes.
That was flight number 6 on the flash and probably flight number 60+ on that particular BARF.
The runway is about 550 in length.
The BARF will run just under $5K "go fly" and the Flash will run about $2.7k "go fly" My flash has BVM gear (the best, in my humble opinion and a pain in the butt to install in the flash) with Robart struts.
The flash took me about 1/4th the time to build as the BARF.
I think the BARF looks sleaker and meaner. [>:]

LOL - I love the section where the B-ARF comes by with that wonderful turbine sound, then when the Flash comes by we hear the put-put weedeater motor sounds

RE: Bandit VS. Flash-> Video Included!
Nice to see the video back to back. I have flown both and feel they are quite different in their landing approach as highlighted on film however it looks like your Flash sits a little nose down and this hampers the touch and go, making it stick a little longer than the B-ARF.
Are you using crow on the Flash?
