Well I just unpacked my new SM Hawk... all I can say is WOW! It looks great! Initial inspection shows glue joints very nice, paint very nice (as good or better than I do) and with no work. The gear are extremely nice and include ball bearing wheels with disc brakes. My schedule doesnt allow me to get started yet but when I do pix of the build will follow. Plan on power with a PST 1300. Nice work Anton!

I had the same feelings with you my friend and since i have it right next to my bed, i have the same feelings every morning

I ll use a JetCat P-120se with no bypass for power-plant
I would like to share in this post the building process of our jets and exchange ideas.

Hi
I am also building my SM Hawk. The air sysem is ready, including the speed brake, I am now instaling the servos and surface horns. I'll install an Artes Eagle in mine. I can only build in weekends but if your interested I can share some pictures of the building process.
Regards
Eduardo

Hey fellow hawk guys. This is great> I just recieved my skymaster hawk last week and the cockpit yesterday. I think it is an amazing piece of artwork. My plan was to use a jetcat 120 with the bypass. Other than access to the turbine does anyone see a problem.
Also, Although I have only done preliminary study of the kit, I am perplexed at how to mount the rudder servo. There is no wood in the area where the sevo goes and all the instructiuons say is mount the rudder servo. If anyone has pictures of the part I would appreciate it.

after some talking with Anton he suggested me to not use Bypass with the 120 since it will be ballistic! Even the 120 by itself is overpower on this Jet.
While you going further with this project have in mind that as more light you make it, it will fly like a dream! And with the 120 for powerplant it will do some nice verticals :P:P

I know its early on your build, but does anyone else have any flight reports on the SM Hawk? Thanks.

Skymaster Hawk flies great, solid airplane that flies on rails. Lands slow and takes off in a very short distance.

Bob Fieorenze with all the stuff. The kit has been around the block a time or two and needs some minor repairs here and there but nothing major. I traded a TAMJET A-4 for it. I have all the goodies to go along with it. If you know of anyone near by who wants one give me a call (it's too big to ship) My "to build" table is about to collapse especially with Butch working on the GIANT F-106, which when I get one will move to the head of the line.

The Skymaster USA guy's let me take her out this past weekend at California Jets:
-Takes off great without flaps, nice scale rotation with very little backpressure, gear is in the right spot.
-Grooves, fly's like its on rails, very smooth, will hold a knife-edge as good if not better then most sport planes/jets...from one County to the other.
-With a P-120 flew mostly at half throttle, but full pepper passes were fun.
-Lands like Butta.
Good luck and enjoy,
Dave
