Default Thread vanished

I started a thread this morning about an engine fraud, but it has vanished. Have I upset the moderators - if so I apologise - or was it one of the glitches we are getting in RCU at the moment? I saved what I'd written elsewhere and can post again if I'm allowed.

Sara - if you did anything wrong, you ought to have been notified about it - so if you have no such warning then I'd say go ahead and repost it.

wasn't saying you did it just that it was only on your posts that i was picking it up. at the end of all your pics was an extra attachment, an HTML one, on the other posts with pics it wasn't attached.

we had to restore from last nights 12am database as we were hacked a 4th time this week now. we put in measures to prevent this but they got around them somehow. we have the logs and evidience and our programmers are working today to reverse engineer it and try to put additional stopgaps in place to patch up the exploits

Smart hackers...
why point always to a foreign site?
they try to take over other pc,s?
i dont think the goal is to slow this forum down but to scan our pc,s right?

Marc,

Can you implement database archive logging? This process entails the archiving of the transaction log at regular intervals (your choice - hourly, every 15,10,5,1min). When a restore of the database is needed, the last full backup of the database is restored and the transaction logs are applied in chronological order until the last recoverable transaction has been applied prior to the crash of the database. This would result in no lost threads and the confusion that is occuring of what went where and why?

Just my 0.02

Rgds,
Mark

well the CAPS said it all: the virus i was picking up came from YOUR posts..
but understood..
my virus scanner would not even allow me to contineu to read on any thread that had a picture.
i would stop the virus before it went active.
the scary part is you did not even had to click on the file
as soon the thread was loading the virus was opening also..

Security

RCUniverse has been problematic for me since Saturday. My email address was apparently intercepted (stolen) after a response to a post on Saturday.
