Turbine installation & tailpipe length
Good afternoon!
the final step to complete my F9 Panther from Feibao is the Turbine installation. A JB130 from Behotec will be responsible to convert Kerosene into thrust, but there is one open question left to be answered.
The exhaust of this turbine is very long as you see, so to have the Turbine and tailpipe in the correct position the end of the turbine exhaust enters the pipe by approx 2-3 cm (1,1 inch). I often read that there should be a gap between pipe and exhaust ~ 20mm, but I could only realize this by shortening the tailpipe. Is this necessary or can I leave it like shown on the picture.
[8D] Thanks
Hajo

I would not be opposed to attempting to fly it as you have it shown. While it might not be "ideal" it should still fly without issue.
There is a small percentage out here that normally put the end of the cone in the pipe anyway for safety reasons.
