Finally, a solution to 90% of your air system woes!
Jet N Stuff is proud to announce the availability of our Air Line Safeties!
In the past, the modeler installing an air system in their model was faced with three scenarios:
A. Simply slide the 1/16” air line onto many, many, barbed fittings and wait for the day to experience a total system failure.
B. Use safety wire to wrap and twist onto every connection which was time consuming and tedious at best. Our experience has been that we stuck ourselves at least a half dozen times in the finger tips with the wire doing this on each installation. Also we ended up chasing little pieces of cut off wire around the shop for hours.
C. Use some type of knurled metal fittings that are hard on the finger tips as well. These seem to twist the lines as well as occasionally damage the line at a critical point.
Well, now you have another, superior option! Our Air Line Safeties are fabricated from plastic and they are just the right size to slide over the air line at the barb fitting. Installation is painless and simple. They can be removed easily and re-used a few times. The safeties are available in Black and Natural. Although we use and highly recommend the Tamjets Gear Failsafe, it will not protect against a sudden total loss of the supply pressure. The Air Line Safeties coupled with our brass T-Fittings and the Tamjets Gear Failsafe provide a very robust air system that every complex model deserves. These come in packages of 25. The photo illustrates how they are used.
