Default Help With Removing Old Sticker

I've got a couple old stickers I need to remove from my jet. The are the kind that has a clear background with colored writing on it. Each is about 18" long and 6 inches in height.

They are big enough that it would take me forever to "pick" them off piece by piece.

Any idea what I can try to get these things off the jet?

Thanks,
Don

you can try a little bit of heat to soften the adhesive and lighter fliud or goop removal for the sticky stuff left behind. just test the chemicals to make sure they do not react with your paint. good luck, barry

If you can get a corner started ....dribble lighter fluid under the decal, and let it soften the adhesive.

Or try a hair dryer.........

WD-40 works great ! Or Bestine. They won't hurt paint.

Sean,
I have been doing everything I need to do to be able to have a free weekend not to do anything but what i choose to do. All the lawn work is done and all the honey do list is done so now I can start on it.

Will start on it in the morning and will let you know how it worked.

Thanks,

I had some lighter fluid handy so I used it and a "Widget" razor and I got one of them off. It wasn't easy but a couple hours and some patience...one down and one to go.

Thanks for the tips guys!
Don
