Default use it or not ?

i am looking for a practical experience answer here , and i also put the question on the eng forum , but need a sooner than later answer.
i have a simjet 2300aes w/ a 2002-d2 fadec ecu and a propane sol. with an adj needle valve built into it that works great .
but heres my problem in the current model there is no where to put the sol that allows me access to adj needle if needed , so i want to use sol externally and unhook from ecu after start up and i am wondering if ecu will recognize this and go into a immediate shut down ?

thanks for the info,

I have a Simjet 2300 and do not use the propane valve at all. I hook up the propane and regulate it externally. Once the engine ramps up on kero I unhook the propane and fly. No need to use the supplied propane valve and regulator.

On my Simjet 1200 I did away with the propane solenoid. Just like Gary I had a regulator hooked up to the Coleman can directly.

Me too.... but on a wren.. works fabulous. Just be sure to use a check valve on the end of the propane line....
