Justin,
The number 6 you chose looks very cool. I like it alot better than my # 7. Maybe Comp ARF should look in to that.
Hotel Sierra,
The Jr plane is a custom scheme Comp-a rf and Joe Grimes came up with. The bottom has blue checker boards and the wings will support the spectrum logos. This scheme took a extra 8 weeks to get the plane to me.
Lewis,
thanks for the comments. One of the guys i coach little league with had you for a teacher. Tom P. I beleive he is going to stop by and say high to you at the meet.

Oh Yea the reaction is not for sell. A gentelman in the club had me build it. The reason was so the club would have a turbine aircraft that people could buddy box if they were interested in flying or getting in to jets. Thanks to this guy. We have a very generous and diversified club thats loves all aspects of the hobby. Thank God! for that.
Thanks MikeKirby

Thanks for the emails. Alot of you guys have asked and thanks for your interest in having me assy. your flash. Right now i get $ 1850.00 for labor on a rtf flash using all of your equipment. The flash rigged takes about 130 hours. This price includes programing if you supply a radio to have set up.
Thanks

130h to build one flash? Is that with painting or did you mean 30h?

Anyhow. Sounds like a great way to proceed. Mine has been very slowly progressing for the last 5 months!

Why don't you build that F-14 that you have plans up for??? It is by far leaps and bounds better than that stinkin' flash!

(I can say that, I own a flash but not an F-14 turbine...[] )

The f-14 was built and waiting for pickup by its new owner. The plans are the only thing left to pack.
Chris, maybe we can fly all four at once . What do you think? The fly bys are awsome at the field. I want to ride. The Blue Grass Jet Jam is 5 days away.
Thanks
Mike

I will post some more pics for you guys later this week on the flash builds. Philip is wanting to fly the reaction so i will help him install the 2.4 14 mz in the reaction 54.
Some guys have ask, these flash builds will have 12x 2.4 ghz installed in them. We have been dicussing the smoke and eagle tree system also.

Guys sorry it took so long to verify that the all the flash bolted together correctly. The Blue Grass Jet Jam took about a week and a half away from my build time. We are rolling now and i will try to keep assy pics coming. All the jets fit together real nice. The one thing i did notice is the number 6 wing will not fit on the number 7 wing. This i beleive Comp - Arf should take a look at. I quess they have multipible molds. I think if you ever need a replacement wing you will have to install the dowl pins in front of the wing before it will fit correctly. Not really sure how difficult this would be. I put 10 flight on my first number 7 at the Blue Grass Jet Jam this past weekend with no issues and unbeleivable vertical with the Ram 1000. Now it has 58 flights and going very strong. The reduced flaps is the real anwser for the pitch issue on landings. I can not wait til i fire up the new one with the titan se come on. I think it will need to be turned way down. thanks for your guys inputs and i have one more flash scheduled to be built after these are completed. If any one is considering me to assy. your flash you need to get on the list before the year is full.
Thanks Mike Kirby

Mark,
I am putting stock gear with dreamworks trailing links on the number 6 . If the links work well we might consider the others. The number 7 i have been flying is all stock gear and air system. The first one has just short of 60 flights no issues. I do not like the operation of grinding the flat spots on the pins for the stock gear and struts allienment. Iam thinking of having a machine shop set the correct toe end for all of these. If you assy. the gear very close there is enough play in the wheel well for correct retract alignment and toe end.
thanks
Mike

Thanks for the PM,
The red white and blue scheme Comp-ARf has listed the paint scheme BV Design is what is on the box. So if you are trying to order this scheme let your rep no the scheme name and you can pick your colors.

Guys here is a pic of my flash coming in on approach with only 40 degrees of flap and very little wind. This make the elevator pitch issues non existant.

Thanks Mike,
I'd like to know how the 6mm pins hold up with Todd's trailing links.
I ordered the 8mm pins, bit and reemer, from MC last night. They arrived at my door this afternoon[X(] With shipping and taxes about $35.
I wish Todd had his gear when I ordered the Flash. I hate fooling with the pins. Hopefully now I won't have to.
5 flights on the Flash and two resulted in broken pins. One was my fault but I was still surprised they broke. The other was not exactly a greaser but it wasn't a bad landing. No way I was expecting anything to break on THAT one.

Mark,
i recieved the new struts today and have not even had a chance to check them out. The whole retract pin is a bummer. I have not had a issue with them braking easily but the alignment to toe end is kinda shakey. I am hoping that todds struts are machine repeatable to allow for easier line up and better toe end. Iwill let you know next week when i install them.
thanks Mike
