Default PST F-84G Thunderjet Completed!

I finally finished my F-84G and got it back from Chris Reiter aka "stratotanker", who did the amazing Arrow Scheme and weathering! Wow is he talented! Can't wait to fly this big bird again. Thanks a million Chris, my son and I will enjoy flying this beautiful bird.

That looks fantastic!!! Look forward to seeing it at Idaho Jets in a couple of weeks. I will be driving down directly from the Spring Princeton, BC jet event. I have a truck appt at Sundance on Weds morning and hopefully will be out at the field on Thurs afternoon to begin another weekend of burning kerosene. See you then.

Thanks guys,

Barry, it comes in at 37lbs dry and about 45 wet. Powered by an Artes Rhino. Should be plenty of power!
BTW, your F-84 looks awesome! Maybe we can breed them sometime??

Roy,

Looking forward to Parma. See you then. Thanks,

Steve

I wonder what kind of color scheme that would produce?

Hi Barry,

We put 2 flights on her today. We had troube whith the retracts/struts closing. Have you had any trouble with yours?

It sure flies smooth.

Thanks,

Steve

PST says that they will make some bigger rams and send the upgrade to all existing customers. I thought that was pretty good.

That's good to know Barry, thanks.

I've always had great luck with Robart's. Nothing fancy, just solid reliability. Did you have to drill new holes to mount them?

Kraivuth said they are making a new retract (for all F84 owners) to solve this problem. He also said he used a spring loaded swivel on the gear door. Did you have to do this with your Robart set up?

Thanks,

Steve

Steve, how did she look in the air? Hopefully we captured the right effect so it looks right in the air. Been going crazy on Deans the past two days, she has six fuel tanks in her now!

Chris,

You wouldn't believe how awesome that big beast looks during a slow dirty fly by!! The local field buddies couldn't stop looking at it. It was a HIT!!

Hey, I noticed you're back on track with your scale wizardry. It looks great.

BTW, does anyone know where and what type of scale lights I can get for this bird?

TIA,

Steve

Send me some inflight shots if you got some, want to frame it and put it in my office, have to start documenting my models. Tell them not to look too close, they will start seeing all my flaws lol! Dean was supposed to fly the Eurofighter that I worked on for two years, have not heard from him yet.

Best bet on lighting is superbright leds.com and wire it up yourself, that is what I have done in the past. Gonna have to do it to the F-84 as well.

Man I miss that plane, hurt to close her up and send her away!

Chris - I was with Dean at Princeton this weekend and he flew the Eurofighter. It flew great. As far as I know - he's happy with it.

just talked to him, I was nervous all weekend to hear how she did, Dean and I had a LOT of hours in that puppy! The F-84 will far exceed the typhoon, time to take it o the next level!

Is PST still in business? Their email bounce back. I need a new nose gear and strut as mine is worn out. I could also use new main tires. I put an electric retract from Dreamworks on my mains it now works .

I believe the owner of PST jets passed away in a full size flying accident a while ago (not sure exactly when) - the company may still be in the throws of re-grouping, its just a thought.

Try Sunnee at PST Jets, her email is : [email protected]

Sadly Kraivuth one of the principals at PST died when his new Christen Eagle crashed in Thailand three years ago.

My PST Revision and Reaction have proven to be superb machines, flown very regularly here in UK. I still fly 4 PST engines, 2 600s and 2 1300s, delightful in every way and incredibly reliable. The 1300 with the Xicoy ecu has amazingly quick starts and excellent throttle response too. Still fly the 600s with TEMS electronics, but they are no longer in production, being very dated.

I am sorry to hear the owner passed away. I love the plane. Here is a picture of it. It is all Flight Metal with a Jetcat 180.
