Hi Spencer k

It is AD F16, the tank comes assembled you just fit the standard tank bung and connect the vent to atmosphere . i think it is 76 oz although I have never filled it to that, I tend to use it as taxi / take off supply, run it out and use the main tanks for the rest of the flight.

As I said in an earlier post it is from Gary Mueller at Jet tech same as Todd has on his Dreamworks site. First class service from either of them

Hope this helps

Ian

Hi

As I outlined in one of my first posts yes it is a different scale, but for some reason the length of the tank is not so far out for a 1 6.5 model. the cross section profile is smaller but as I said for non scale comp it is not out of place. see my photos above. The nose of the tank is just behind the nose door and the rear is just between the ventral fins,

The tank is finished ready to go, I am not sure if the skymaster is, also the jettech tank is very stong multi layers kevlar.

My jettech centerline tank that I got from Todd came unfinished with no gelcoat, primer and seams that were over 1/8 of an inch out of alighnment. It took me about three hours of bodywork just to get it ready for primer, not like the pic on Todds website. The Skymaster tank is not as thick as the Jettech tank and is thin fiberglass, not kevlar like the jettech.

Yes you are correct re primer and seams.
I spent about 1 hr, decided to leave the thick seam on the bottom in case of wheels up landing. having said that it is already very thick on the bottom

Ref the gear it is Matrix machine tool company, I bought it before all the skymaster stuff came out but I was glad I did it first class and no signs of any wear or problems at all.

No issue re the gear and the tank, could be if tank was to scale ie more bulbous. Only thing to watch with the Matrix gear is the wheel clearance to the bottom of the main tanks in the fus.

Happy to help
Ian

Curious, why didnt you contact us regarding this?? This is certainly not typical of Jettech and we would have swapped this tank out had you notified us! Here is how they should look... Seam lines but no step!

Todd I apreciate your concern. The tank was drop shipped since you did not have it in stock,so you never got to see the qaulity which was not like the tank you have taken a picture of.I considered taking a few pics and sending them to you,but I had already waited a few weeks for the tank to be built and I just wanted to get on with the project.I have jetech tanks in my Eurosport and a Jettech tank you sold me for a Boomerang. The qaulity of the seems are fantastic for tanks that go inside of the jet.I was dissapointed when the centerline tank which was meant for the outside of the aircraft arrived the way it did.The seams were so bad I had to grind away a fair amount of kevlar to get it close enough to put some bondo on it to smooth it out.The bottom of the tank looked stepped like a float for a seaplane. If the tank would have been sent to you to put in stock I am sure you would have thought "you have to be kidding me".The pics on your site at the time I purchased the tank showed a gray gellcoated tank,I was under the impression that is the way they came.It is a great tank ,built much thicker than the 1/6 Skymaster tank. It is also kevlar which the Skymaster tank is not.A lot of money for a smoke tank, but well worth it for 70 ounces of smoke. No pics as it arrived, but I have pics of it on my Euro after paint.Wanting to put smoke on my Kingcat probally will buy another to put on the Kingcat, since it allows you to put the 70 ounces right on the cg under the Jet and removeable.
Thanks again for your concern and great service.99% of the time you have what I need in stock.
