TamJets/Fie Bao BIG F-16 1/6 scale.
Hey Guys,
I have searched the forums but I have not found any information on the Big F-16 that TamJets/Fie Bao is working on. Does anyone else have this kit?
I bought mine partially started so I don't know exactly what the kit looks like new out of the box. All in all I think the kit looks good " for some reason when I had seen the pictures that Fie bao posted the shape of the F-16 looked strange to me similar to how the F-4 looks a bit out of scale" but once I had seen the kit up close everything looked good ( maybe the camera lense that Feibao used was a wide angle that made the F-16 seem a bit out of proportion.
I have the Matrix scale gear installed along with Tams wheels and brakes; the gear clear the doors nicely but I may need to make a slight adjustment to orientation of the gear mounts to allow for the larger wheels I am currently using when the gear are in the retracted position.
All of the fiberglass parts and wing panels seem to fit together well; the good thing is that I did not need to cut the gear doors or create door lips and all of the formers are installed. The wood formers seem to be a little thin in my opinion but I want to compare to other Aircraft of similar size before I make any modifications. The vertical fin/rudder seems to need strengthening to me.
Here are a few pictures of everything bolted together along with the external stores.
Let me know what you think and if anyone else has one of these kits please post your opinions and share any information that you will help other builders avoid problems.

Last I had heard Tam was not going to move forward with the large F-16. FB may be continuing the quest but Tam sold a few of the prototype kits out to various people but as far as a production run was concerned I dont think he was going through with it, however he may have changed his mind.

This is the same F-16 that was shown in Tams shop. This the same scale as the Skymaster F-16. I have a Aviation Design F-16 that is 1/6.8 scale and this F-16 is larger by more than a foot length wise. Orinally I was going to buy just the ordinance to put on my AD F-16 but they were noticeably to large.
I will try to take some more detailed pictures to show the closeups and inside the fuse.

That kit has been in Tams shop for almost a year now. If FB does a kit that is there's to distribute, but I dont "think" Tam has anything to do with it other than selling it when they release it.

Ok this is the only I know. Tam have exclusive in some FB kits and Wagner have the exclusive for others. Both guys are US dealers for the FB line and both are great guys to deal with. It just depend which kit we want to buy.

Pablo is ready to fly but Fei Bao changed their schedule, so first it will be the Mig 21, following by teh SU27 and F16

I sold this kit as proto-type and got nothing to do with whom ever want to get free ride for their personal business interest.
So far I see business interest jump on the wargon.
