use the search function.. the question have come before

For repair / building: dremel, jig saw
In the field: air compressor (fill tires), if your turbine uses propane, then a valve system. some way to fuel fill the plane, etc

If you are installing brakes and retracts you will need a small air compressor to fill the air tank. You can get one most anywhere, but Bagostix sells one that is really great. Also a fuel can and pump for the kero, your gas one will work if you have one. Some powermax or propane for starting if your motor is not kero start, kerosene and turbine oil, guess that about covers it. You really take less to the field for a jet than for a glow prop plane. hope that helps. and building is just like any other arf except you may want to heat treat the hatch. I put alum tape on the bottom of the stab and on the inside of the hatch. Lowes home improvement, plumbers tape. Bob

Not always used but a very useful "tool" for turbine jet fliers is a good fire extinguisher... always have one handy while operating a turbine!

I forgot, by all means you need a fire ext. Halon or co2. You may never need it, but if you do you need it bad! Bob

I dont think that you can buy Halon ext. anymore, but if you do its going to cost you for the refil and for the turbine repair.

halon is still around but its over 300 bucks to buy an extinguisher. CO2 comes in about 100 bucks for the unit and about 10 bucks to refill. the material is discharged about the same temperature. I had the company demo them both. No doubt halon is very effective, the Co2 did the job on the little kero fire.

You can save a few bucks on the Co2 extinguisher if you find a source for reconditioned units. I paid $50 for mine.
