Default Pro Link struts for KingCat question

Folks,
I have a new set of Pro Link struts from Todd at DreamworksRC for my KingCat that have a sloppy fit to the BVM brake hub. Seems the strut is .500" thick and the BVM brake hub slot is .550" wide. The BVM strut measures .540" diameter. Great units but a bit sloppy on this fit. I did use 6 layers of self sticky aluminum tape 3/8" X 3/8" on each strut face (4 layups total) to take up the clearance and all is well. Todd tells me no others have reported back to him about this. I do know this has no affect on the braking performance.
Has anyone else found this to be the case? Maybe BVM has changed the strut/hub dimensions? Hopefully this won't turn into a Todd bashing! I'm looking for some feedback from others. Seems Todd is interested in producing the very best of products and maybe a little feedback would help.

Dave

Mine was the exact same as yours Dave. I just shimmed it and seemed to work. I bought mine about 3 months ago, maybe this can help in finding out the production batch.

Anurag,
Did you use the supplied springs or opt for the heavier duty ones?

When I got mine, it came with the std. springs. I believe the HD ones are a recent month old development.
