Dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb EFFING DUMB !
Don't get me wrong. I've done some "crazy" and incredibly fun stuff too back in "tha day". With witnesses. Some of it even on video. But NOT crazy, fun, with witnesses, on video, at a major airport, and within mere FEET of the FEDS !!!!!!!
I HOPE to goodness that there is something I'm not getting here, cus THAT, besides looking like a terrific time, also looks like an expressway to a suspended or revoked ticket !
I've heard of emergency revocations for less [&o]

The "Buzzin' the tower" thread? Got a note from the mods that it was removed due to it being "not RC related". Which is true. But it is pretty cool. (Same vid as above, but a Youtube link.)
I suspect this thread will be yanked as well.
Guess I'll go post it on some "other" forums...

Highhorse....the guy got permission for a "low pass" from the tower so no reg busted he just did a typical pylon turn arround the tower which @ oakland is away from terminal. If there had been an accident its the tower guys facing the bust.....kpc

I won't even start on this one but my guess is nobody involved is going to forget about this for a very long time thanks to FAR 91.13, careless and reckless operation - and the local FAA office prosecuting it.
Pretty good reaction by the ATC staff though [X(]

it was kinda of a joke when i said it was the tower guys facing the"bust"if the red bull zivco missed the "pylon"LOL....The scuttlebut I heard on this was the a/c was temporary based @ oak for one of the red bull races held over the bay. There was light traffic into oakland @ the time and the pilot/tower coordinated the "low pass"to "check" gear.Whether there was an Faa enforcement under the faa catchall reg you site I have no idea...I suspect that on this one there was only counseling on low alt acro...(wing @ greater than 45% bank angle). There are some guys on r/c jets that are employed as atc specialists @ norcal that might know more, but I bet they aint talking....kpc

It seems as events get onto Youtube, et al, the level of accountability goes to the highest standards on cases like this. Of course this can also apply to RC videos [X(]
