Default Air Start Nipple

Hi All,

I have a question for all you air-starters out there. What is the thread on the starting nipple. I bought a Locking Air Chuck to use on my engine, but it leaks. I was thinking of locating a Festo Connector to thread onto the nipple so I can get rid of the air chuck and plug my airline directly into the festo. To do this, I need to know the thread of the nipple (it's the same as a tire valve stem if that helps). My observation is the thread could either be 5/16-28 or 5/16-32. Anyone know with certainty?

Or.... What (how) are you guys attaching the start-air to the nipple??

TIA!!!

Craig
