Default multiple airline disconnect

On the old PCM Models L1011 kit, there is a large airline quick disconnect that has provisions for 5 or 6 airlines at once. Does anyone know a source for that disconnect fitting?

It turns out that the nose section of my new Fei Bao F-4 will need to be removable to get it in my trailer... [&:]

Thanks,
Bob

I know Dreamworks and Tamjets have them. If you need to, you can use them in pairs.

Have you checked BVM I know they are using quick disconnects (4 lines) on the Phantom

Thanks, but I don't think we're talking about the same thing. This is a large (about 1 1/2" in diameter) fitting that connects 5 or 6 indivitual airlines at a time. It "snaps" together to connect them and there is a single "button" on the side that you push to disconnect them. They were included in the old PCM Models L1011 kits because the nose was removable and the entire air system plus the nose gear was in the removable nose, but the main gear and doors were in the fuselage - like the removable nose of my F-4 will have to be.

Joe,

I didn't see it there...

Hey, did you get the PM I sent you about the ME-262? I found the email address of the designer here on RCU and emailed him, but haven't gotten a response yet...

Have a call in to a buddy who took the crashed parts home and is looking to see if there is any structure in the fuselage. BTW If you want the landing gear PM me with your mailing address . the designers name is Patrick

Bob,

I remember those from my L-1011. They are called Sixtube or Tentube from Colder Products

They have some really neat stuff. The twintube could be great on most jets for retracts couplers

Yea, they work really well on the L1011. If I use one of those for the airlines and a multi-pin connector for the servo lines, then with disconnecting two connectors and removing 6 bolts, I can take the nose off my F-4 and get it in my trailer! BTW, don't anybody say "get a bigger trailer," I was lucky enough to get the F-4 past the wife, but that AND a new trailer is a no sale...

Where do you get a multi-pin connector for the servos? I can use a similar setup.

Thanks

Dreamworks has the Ashlock connectors. Up to 12 ways ( 4 servos ).

I use a jetcat blue six pin connector. The outside pins are for +/- and the other four are for four signal wires. I tested the pins for 3.5 amps continuous with no heating and about .1 voltage drop. Real losses will be less. I am using it now on my 2nd RARF (Reaction ARF). One connection and four servos are done. I will be ordering the pneumatic multi pin connector for a complete quick connect for the RARF. This will make assembly a snap..
