sorry to be a burden to you guys but i would like to know how to post a picture on the site, i have a problem and i need to show you guys what is happening. i have finaly recieved my tjt 300 back from TJT turbines after 4 years..... the hall effect sensor appears to be new but has 4 fires wraped in metal braid comming from it ? my old hall effect sensor had 3 wires and a normal model aircraft plug on it ?
whilst on the subject i need a new k-type thermo couple but i can only find ones with the big yellow plug on them ? my old fadec has all normal model aircraft connectors (like ones on servo's) can u cut them off and solder on a normal servo plug ?
cheers

Not sure about the change of your RPM sensor, but the RPM sensor on my autostart ram is a 4 wire sensor.
As far as thermocouple's dreamworks has them w/ the connector you need. The picture shows the "large" yellow connector, but they quit making that connector and have the servo style on them now. Tod said i could cut the servo connector off the thermocouple to install the big yellow connector, so i see no reason why you couldn't do just the opposite.

thanks for the reply thomas, i will order one straight away. but the rpm sensor on my hall effect is worrying me. as far as i remember the old one was a 2 wire which where green and white, the white being the positive and the green being the negative. ? i suppose if i wired it up it would just not read RPM ? what do you all think ?

1) when doing a reply, the Fast Reply form at the bottom of a post does NOT contain the utility link to upload a file/image. (I guess that's why it's called a fast reply.) If you want to reply and upload a file/image, click on the Post Reply button just below the lower left hand corner of the last post on the page. (You can also click on the Reply or Quote button on the right side of a particular post if you want to reply specifically to that post or quote that post). This will bring up a Reply to Message page. Just below the space where you type your reply, there is a link that says "Click here to upload images and files!" It will open a dialogue box and you select the image/file (only jpg, gif, and txt files are supported - max file size is just over 200K each). Once you've selected the file(s) off your computer, click OK, the dialogue box tells you it's processing the file(s) and gives you a confirmation that the file(s) are uploaded (or not if you exceed the file size). Click OK again and the dialogue box closes and you return to your reply.
2) if the photo you want to post is already posted somewhere on the web, you can just insert a "image markers" using the image button that appears in the Reply and Fast Reply area just above the space where you type your reply. Clicking on the button inserts the following characters (image)(/image) except it uses square brackets (which I didn't use here as the site would think that I was trying to post an image right now). Then reposition your cursor and paste the URL for the image between the margers such that it looks like this:
(image)http://www.cas2.com/images/JAS39Gripen_000.jpg(/image)
When you click on OK to post your reply, the reply will include web image at the same size as it appears in the source page which is why you sometime see very large images posted. Incidentally, the URL in the above example is for the photo below. Good luck with your turbine issue.
Regards,
Jim

If you want control over the photo size and you don't want the size that is provided with the standard upload images, then check out the following thread which is a sticky under the following:
