There was a few times I thought the belly tank was going to leave a little smoke oil on the runway.

Sorry Buc, no pics of the install. I put a comp arf bypass in there just to shield some of the lines but there is no room to spare between the engine mount rails.

No worries amigo

i figured it would be a shoe horn fit and would be happy to see how it all went together. did you guys add any reinforcement to the landing gear structure to acomodate the added weight of the motor? I think a p200 like an olympus weighs a little over 5 lbs. pretty good leap from a Rhino or Titan install.

i'm looking forward to getting out there in feb and hoping to get a good first hand look at one of these birds

great vid btw

Joe,

that is a jetcat smoke pump, with a 50 oz belly tank for smoke oil. Gives about 5 minutes of smoking pleasure. Thanks for all the kind words. David makes you a better pilot just standing near you. not to mention when he is working the stix.

Thanks everyone, I'm still a novice at this video thing but I'm trying. Buc, I replaced the wood that came installed in the landing gear rails with aircraft ply and I added a 1/8" thick carbon plate to the nose gear mount rails. I also when over all of the joints with Hysol to fill any voids.

Hey Big Balls, that was an awesome low pass at about 8:25 in the video!!!!! Way to fly, Ron!

Wayne, Layne Video Productions certainly raised the bar pretty high on that one. Good job!! That's a pretty tough act for Burning Corn Productions/Green Bananas to follow!

Regards,

Jim

all right amigo
thanks for the heads up, she's gotta weigh close to 44lbs at take off with the 200 in her. just a guess though, glad the airframe looks to be able to handle it. i assume you had to ditch the stock pipe?

thanks again
buck

Great job wayne, with the video and the F-4 build. David really wrung it out so your warranty is up now... I was plugging my ears on the low passes turning out towards the desert, what a BEAST !!!. Nice flight for you too Ron...congrats on the good landing.. (inside joke he he). What a pleasure to have David Shulmann out here for 4 days, courtesy of Ron Long and Ray Olsen, he a class act. His demo on Rons big F-16 was just about as real looking as you can get, also P-200 powered.
