Hello
I have been using the sensor switch for a while but I have only just recently noticed the temperature on the heat sink. Its very hot, I cant keep my finger on it. Is this normal? I use two 7.4v LiPo's

It is normal for the switch body to get warm, but not that hot unless you have it in a very air tight and a small box or something. Also, it is good for about 5 amps, what are you drawing out of it? a pic may help...
I have one in my Reaction with two 7.2 nicads and it is only warm....

Hello
Well I noticed this with it only connecter to an AR9000 and out of that only two electronic valves, no servos. I was setting up something. And it wasnt installed in any model. This was outside of any installation on my workbench.

Here is an old post I created about this regulator:

It should answer your questions. I also published an article talking about this in RCJI isuue 90 ( June/July 2008 )
Check the temperature precisely with a infrared thermometer.
Note that the new blue heatsinks are getting a little bit hotter due to the fact that they evacuate less heat ( blue color )
