I have decided on a ten channel TX. It will be for my 1/8th F-16 and also for future (more complex) models.
My LHS has both the Futaba 10C and the JR 10X in stock. Both at competative prices. I have reviewed the specs for both, Unfortunatley my experience with jet functions is insufficient to make a knowledgable desicion.
I know I will have to install a 2.4 mod. in the 10x, Not a big deal $ wise but I am unsure about a difference in performance.
Can anyone tell me some of the differences between the 2? Is one more user friendly than the other? Are there any differences worth noting other than the manufacture exlusives?
I am currently reading the FASST thread, Just to let you know.
Thanks for the help, Peter

I'll go for the 10C, but check this out... if you can afford $200.00 more, you can get the 12FG ($799.00)
The 12FG is a 14 channel radio, 12 regular and 2 switch.

for the 12FG. IMHO, this is the best bang for the buck in the 2.4ghz. I have had all the radios that are mentioned here, and If I had to do it again AND had a limited budget I'd go with the 12FG which is actually a 12+2 channels...

Both radios are nice, and the 10X is a much more "premium" radio with titanium case, etc. But it is an older design, and you have to add a module ofr 2.4. I recently sold my 10X and bought the 9303 on 2.4. I am very pleased with it. Has model match, so you won't take off with the wrong model number loaded in the xmtr. I also like the fact that I can fly with 4 receivers in my jets. Check that one out too. Bob

Ok,
I'm still not understanding the 10X thing, I see how you are cut down to 9 channels. But, My LHS owner (Andy Argenio) says a bunch of guys are using the 10X with the JR 12 channel RX's for extra channels or switches.
Ill do more research on the subject.
Thanks, Peter

Ok, I'm not really finding much here..
Can anyone els help out?
In PPM mode, While using a 2.4 mod. What happens when the 12 channel rx is used? Any other possibilities here? I have a good price on a NIB unit. Just waiting to hear a bit more on this and I'll go pick it up today when I get out of work.
Looking ahead to more advanced scale mechanics in the future I want to make sure I am all set.
