COMP ARF Rookie Gyro
I am trying to set up a Rookie with a gyros on rudder and elevator. Using the 14MZ and 6014 have put the 2 elevator servos (Right wing) into a matchbox, rudder servos into a matchbox and 2 Aileron servos (Left Wing) in another matchbox. This is done to free up channels on the receiver for the gyro switching. I am using a fully articulated thrust tube which has 2 servos mixed with rudder and elevator.
As you can see, the gyro on the elevator will not work because the elevator is mixed with the aileron to give elevator on both wings and ailerons on both wings.
I cannot puzzle out how to get the elevator gyro to function with this setup.
Any ideas please.

Each elevon needs a separate channel. ACT makes a gyro that will pass through the mix for roll, and act only on the elevator function. It takes two channel inputs and outputs separately to each servo. It is likely to override your match box. You are better off mechanically matching your servos rather than using the match box.

Try using the inboard surfaces on the trailing edges of the wing as elevators , then use the outboard control surfaces on the trailing edge of the wing as ailerons only .This way you bypass the elevon mixing problem . This is the way Ali Machinchy set up his Concord .
